No. 13 Women's Soccer Cruises at Lancaster Bible

LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 13 Swarthmore College women's soccer team got back in the win column on Monday night with a 5-0 victory at Lancaster Bible College.

The Garnet showed off their depth once again, producing five different goal-scorers as they put up five-plus goals for the second time this season. Swarthmore peppered the Chargers with 29 shots and earned seven corner kicks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Garnet dominated the first half, outshooting LBC 16-0. Charlotte Sims opened the scoring in the 11th minute, beating a defender to a loose ball in the box and blasting it past the goalkeeper. Ava Gizzie scored their fourth goal in as many contests less than two minutes later, receiving a pass in the box from Izzy Tolosa before turning and shooting the ball past the defense into the net. It was the first point in a Swarthmore uniform for Tolosa.

- In the second half, Charlotte Carleton put the Garnet up three in the 51st minute. She cleaned up a loose ball in front after a failed clear of a free kick. The Chargers threatened to end the shutout bid during a 10-minute stretch after Carleton's tally, putting a shot off the right post and forcing Lili Simcock to make four saves in the Swarthmore cage. The rookie was up to the task and kept LBC off the board.

- The margin went to four in the 64th minute as Stella Saad netted her first goal of the year. The sophomore dribbled around a couple of defenders and cut towards the middle of the field just outside the box. Moving to her right, Saad shot back towards the left side and beat the goalie.

- The final tally came in the 68th minute. Carleton streaked down the right side of the field towards the top corner of the box and was able to split the defense and fire off a shot. The goalkeeper made the stop but the rebound went to Anwen Reed, who deposited it into the goal for her second of the campaign.
