GREENWOOD, Ind. – Swarthmore College had 12 student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large Teams this week.
Dylan Zhang represented men's golf while men's lacrosse had
Jack McHenry,
Nolan Ohrman,
Gabe Malcolm,
Drew Tyson and
Ryder Maston selected to the squad. It was the third straight honor for both Zhang and Tyson.
On the women's side, field hockey players
Amelia Landry and
Cassandra Conklin joined women's lacrosse athletes
Annabel Stifler,
Aubree Daugherty,
Amanda Morris, and
Brooke Carrier as honorees. Landry garnered the award for the second time in her career.
To be eligible for Academic All-District accolades, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, meet certain athletics participation criteria, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better. The Academic All-District Team is part of the Academic All-America program, which is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across college sports.
Zhang picked up his third career All-Region accolade. McHenry, Malcolm, and Tyson all received All-America honorable mention while Ohrman and Maston were All-Centennial selections.
Landry was selected to the All-Region First Team while Conklin garnered All-Centennial recognition. Stifler was an All-Region Second Team member with Daugherty, Morris, and Carrier all earning All-Centennial nods.
