Twelve Cross Country/Track & Field Athletes Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Swarthmore College had 12 student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Cross Country/Track & Field Team on Tuesday.
 
Cohen Manges, Matthew Fleming, Charlie Schuetz, Joey Alander, Kenneth Relovsky, and Spencer Etheridge garnered the honor for the men's squad. The Garnet women were represented by Elizabeth Page, Ania Wong, Charlotte Martin, Aaliyah Anaskevich, Tate Garcia, and Lydia Morris-Kliment. It was the third career selection for Garcia while Manges, Etheridge, and Morris-Kliment earned the award for the second time.
 
To be eligible for Academic All-District accolades, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, rank in the top-50 in the region in an individual event, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better. The Academic All-District Team is part of the Academic All-America program, which is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across college sports.



 
Manges was an All-Region selection in both cross country and track & field. He competed in the NCAA Cross Country Championships for the third time and ranked fifth in the region in the 10,000 meters during the outdoor track campaign.
 
Fleming, Schuetz, and Alander all garnered All-Region status in cross country and Alander also earned the nod in outdoor track, ranking sixth in the steeplechase. Relovsky picked up a pair of All-Region track honors in the indoor distance medley relay and the outdoor 1500 meters. Etheridge ranked eighth in the region in the 10,000 meters to grab an All-Region spot during the outdoor season.
 
Page was a five-time All-Region recipient this year, garnering the accolade in cross country, indoor track (distance medley relay, mile, 3000m), and outdoor track (1500m). Wong was an All-Region cross country runner and she also earned the award for the indoor distance medley relay.
 
Martin and Anaskevich were both All-Region honorees during the cross country season. Garcia was a three-time All-Region pick in both the indoor and outdoor shot put and the discus. Morris-Kliment led the region in the discus to earn All-Region status.
