SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The No. 7 Swarthmore College men's tennis team picked up a weekend sweep with wins over No. 27 Christopher Newport University, 6-1, and Dickinson College, 7-0, on Saturday. The Garnet defeated the Devils to wrap up its Centennial slate with a perfect 7-0 record, capturing their fourth-straight undefeated season in the conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Garnet swept doubles action against the Captains. Max Lindstrom/ Winston Zhang struck first with a 6-2 outcome at third doubles. Michael Melnikov/ Utham Koduri followed with a 6-4 win at top doubles, white Andres Fente/ Kai Chen won 6-3 in the second position.
- Melnikov continued his undefeated campaign with a pair of 6-2 decisions at top singles. The senior improved to 15-0 at top singles.
- Rishi Verma picked up a swift decision at third singles, winning 6-0, 6-2. Lindstrom then followed with his second victory of the match, picking up a 6-0, 7-6 victory in the second position.
- Nikola Galov added on with a triumph at fourth singles. The rookie grinded out the opening set 6-4, before wrapping up his opponent with a 6-2 decision in the second stanza. Fente punctuated a team victory with his second win of the match. The senior held on for a three-set victory at fifth singles with a pair of 6-2 wins in the first and third sets.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Swarthmore won all three doubles matches. Chen/Fente earned a 6-1 victory at the top spot. Lindstrom/Zhang blanked their opponents at second doubles, 6-0, and Koduri/Aamish Pal rolled to a 6-1 win at the third position.
- The Garnet continued to cruise in singles play. Melnikov recorded a 6-2, 6-0 triumph at first singles. Pal picked up a straight-sets win at the second flight, 6-2, 6-3.
- Lalith Suresh dropped just one game on the way to a 6-1, 6-0 success at third singles. Koduri had little trouble in registering a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the fourth spot.
- Cameron Samek defeated his foe at fifth singles, 6-2, 6-2. Nicholas Choo closed out the match with a 6-2, 6-0 win at the sixth position.
UP NEXT
The Garnet (17-6, 7-0) wrap up their regular season against Johns Hopkins University on Sunday. The men look to finish the season strong on their home court after dropping their previous two contests with the Blue Jays.
