LANCASTER, Pa. – Swarthmore College's
Max Lindstrom was chosen the Centennial Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season on Tuesday.
Lindstrom secured weekly honors for the second time in the past three weeks after going 4-1 over three matches to help the 12th-ranked Garnet take third place at the Mary Washington Invitational. He earned a 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 win at second singles in a 4-1 victory against No. 14 Emory in the quarterfinals. The senior teamed with
Winston Zhang for a 7-6 tiebreak triumph at third doubles versus No. 7 Johns Hopkins in the semifinals. Lindstrom finished the weekend with a pair of victories in the third-place match against No. 8 WashU. He paired with Zhang for a 6-2 win at third doubles before earning a 6-2, 6-2 success at second singles to help Swarthmore defeat the Bears 4-1.
The Garnet host Haverford College on Friday.
