SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The No. 16 Swarthmore College women's tennis team split a pair of matches at the Michael Mullan Tennis Center on Saturday. The Garnet fell to No. 20 Williams College in non-conference action 5-2 before bouncing back to defeat conference foe Ursinus College 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Ephs earned victories at first and second doubles to take a 1-0 lead.

Ella Strickler salvaged a 6-3 win for the Garnet at the third spot.
- Williams grabbed a 7-6, 6-3 triumph at third singles to go up 2-0.
Erin Li got Swarthmore on the board, battling to a 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 victory at the second position.
Lola Diaz fought hard at the top spot but dropped a 4-6, 7-5, 4-6 decision as the Ephs went ahead 3-1.
- Strickler played to a 6-3, 7-5 success at fifth singles but Williams took matches at the fourth and sixth flights in straight sets to claim the win.

- Diaz rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at first singles. Kideckel won 6-2, 6-1 at the second position while Komorek was victorious 6-1, 6-2 at the third flight. Pogrebivsky (8-0),
Madeline Posner (8-1), and Morandat Stilling (8-1) all earned abbreviated wins at fourth through sixth singles.
