ST. PETER, Minn. – The No. 8 Swarthmore College men's tennis team wrapped up play at the ITA Indoor National Championship with a 4-1 victory over No. 21 Gustavus Adolphus College on Sunday to take seventh place at the event.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Garnet took wins at second and third doubles for a 1-0 lead.
Max Lindstrom and
Winston Zhang got things started with a 6-3 triumph at the third spot before
Kai Chen and
Andres Fente earned the victory in their match at the second position by the same score.
- The Golden Gusties picked up their lone point with a 6-4, 6-0 win against Lindstrom at second singles.
Seth Sadikov got Swarthmore back on track with a 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 success at the fifth flight.

Rishi Verma brought the Garnet to the brink of victory with a come-from-behind win at fourth singles, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.
Michael Melnikov then clinched the match with a comeback at the top spot, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.
