FREDERICKSBURG, Va. and PHILADELPHIA – The Swarthmore College men's tennis team continued action at the ITA Regional Tournament and the Saint Joseph's Invitational on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The doubles duo of
Nikola Galov/
Connor Chun won a pair of matches to advance to the final day of competition. They opened the day by defeating University of Mary Washington 8-6 in the Round of 16. The pair then took down Johns Hopkins University in the quarterfinals by a score of 8-3. Galov/Chun will battle another squad from Hopkins in the semifinals.
- Galov came up just short in a thrilling singles match in the quarterfinals. He fell to Mary Washington 6-4, 1-6, 0-1 (12-14).
Rishi Verma was also knocked out in the quarters by Johns Hopkins. The doubles teams of

Seth Sadikov and
Nicholas Choo/
Dylan Hayes Gilbert were eliminated from contention in the Round of 16.

Cameron Samek won the B1 singles bracket, defeating teammate
Rohan Mishra in the final 6-3, 6-3.
SAINT JOSEPH'S INVITATIONAL
HOW IT HAPPENED

Haozhe Jiang earned two victories to reach the final of the Black bracket. He defeated Division I Lafayette College 6-3, 6-1, before dispatching Division I Villanova University 7-5, 6-1. Jiang takes on Division II Thomas Jefferson University for the title.

Akshay Kommineni also reached the final match in the White bracket. He recorded a 6-2, 6-1 triumph versus Division I Saint Joseph's University in the semis. The rookie draws Villanova for Sunday's final.

Francis Thoresen was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Grey bracket.
