- Swarthmore controlled the opening set with a convincing 25-14 victory. With the game knotted at five, Aiste Bardauskaite, Madeline Mountcastle and Enache strung together three-straight kills to distance themselves from the Beacons. The Garnet never looked back as they led the rest of the way, including an 8-1 run to clinch the opening set.

- The Garnet continued to flex its muscles with another lopsided 25-14 decision in set two. Midway through the stanza, Swarthmore used an 8-1 run to take an eight point lead. Emily Sun helped lead the charge with two service aces - tallying five for the match, while Adam added a pair of kills. Swarthmore ended the set with three-straight points with a pair of Jalyn Miller kills and a Sun service ace.

- The Beacons kept their hopes alive with a 25-22 victory in the third set. Swarthmore was unable to gain separation, allowing UMASS to hang around and flip the game in its favor with an 8-1 run, 22-17. Swarthmore clawed back with a 5-1 swing, but ran out of runway as the Beacons tallied consecutive points to force a fourth set.

- The Garnet seemed poised to run away with the fourth set after opening with five-straight points and building a 16-8 lead. However, the Beacons continued to hang around before rallying off five-straight points to pull within two. Swarthmore finally clinched victory with a UMASS service ace, 25-22.
