PHILADELPHIA – Swarthmore College's
Dylan Zhang was selected to the PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Men's Golf Team, the organization announced on Monday.
It is the first time that Zhang has received the honor in his career. The Academic All-Area Team is voted on by the athletic communications offices from 30 institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Zhang earned his third consecutive All-Centennial accolade by finishing fourth at the conference championship, becoming just the second player in program history to garner three All-Centennial selections. He shot a 217 (+1) for the tournament, matching his personal best over 54 holes and helped the Garnet place fourth as a team. Zhang played 14 rounds this season and led the team in seven of them, shooting par or better four times. The junior posted a season-best 70 (-2) at the Dickinson Invitational and had three top-10 finishes during the campaign.
