SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Swarthmore College's
Brad Johnston was chosen the Division III National Hitter of the Week for the week of April 21-27 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
The sophomore posted a .727 on-base percentage while hitting .625 and slugging 1.563 over four contests. Johnston hit five homers and drove home 14 while crossing the plate 13 times. The Newtown Square, Pa. resident homered in all four contests and twice recorded a five-RBI showing. Johnston was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week and was also selected to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week.
The Garnet continue their conference tournament run on Saturday at Johns Hopkins University.
