SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The No. 8 Swarthmore College men's tennis team dropped its regular season finale to No. 10 Johns Hopkins University, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon.
The Blue Jays won two of the three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead. Hopkins then took five of the six singles bouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Jays earned 6-3 and 7-5 wins at first and second doubles respectively.
Max Lindstrom and
Winston Zhang kept their win streak alive with a 6-3 triumph at the third spot. The pair has won 10 straight matches.

Michael Melnikov was the lone Garnet winner in singles play, battling to a 7-6, 6-7, 1-0 (10-8) success at the top flight. Lindstrom forced tiebreaks in both sets at second singles but ultimately came up short, 6-7, 6-7 (3-7).

Lalith Suresh returned to action for the first time in two weeks but fell 5-7, 3-6 at third singles.
Rishi Verma went three sets at the fourth position but was defeated 7-6, 4-6, 0-1.

Kai Chen dropped a 1-6, 6-7 decision at fifth singles and
Andres Fente was on the wrong side of a 2-6, 5-7 match at the sixth spot.
