SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The No. 8 Swarthmore College men's tennis team blanked No. 49 Washington College, 4-0, in the Centennial Conference semifinals on Thursday afternoon.
The top-seeded Garnet advance to the conference championship match, where they will host second-seeded Haverford College on Saturday. Swarthmore is aiming to win its third consecutive conference title.
Max Lindstrom came away with a pair of victories to lead the Garnet against the Shoremen.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Kai Chen and
Andres Fente cruised to a 6-1 victory at second doubles to start the match.
Winston Zhang and Lindstrom earned their 11
th straight win at the third spot with a 6-3 decision to give Swarthmore the doubles point.
Michael Melnikov and
Utham Koduri held a 5-4 advantage at first doubles when the Garnet clinched the 1-0 lead.
- Melnikov, Lindstrom, and
Lalith Suresh picked up straight-set victories at first, second, and third singles respectively to win the match for Swarthmore. Melnikov came out on top, 6-2, 6-1. Lindstrom rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 triumph and Suresh cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 decision.

Aamish Pal, and Fente all won their respective first sets and were ahead in the second frame when play was stopped.
