SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's lacrosse team wrapped up its home schedule with a 17-8 loss to No. 4 Gettysburg College on Saturday afternoon. Prior to the game, the Garnet honored seniors

Aubrey Daugherty led the offense for Swarthmore, tallying a team-high four goals and one assist. Claire Long added two goals, while Finkelstein and Bloomquist each scored once. Bloomquist reached a career milestone in the final minute of regulation, recording her 200th career point with her lone goal.
Swarthmore kept pace with the nationally-ranked Bullets in the early going, trailing by just four at halftime. However, Gettysburg pulled away in the third quarter with an 8-3 run to secure a comfortable lead.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Gettysburg opened the scoring, Finkelstein quickly answered to tie the game with Swarthmore's first goal. The Bullets responded with two more goals before the first intermission, taking a 3-1 lead after the opening quarter.
- Gettysburg extended its advantage with two quick goals to start the second quarter, capping a run of four unanswered. Daugherty sparked a Garnet response with back-to-back goals to bring Swarthmore within two, but the Bullets answered with another pair before halftime, pushing the score to 7-3. Brooke Carrier made several key stops in the frame, recording five saves.
- The third quarter saw Gettysburg seize control. The Bullets struck first with two goals, before Daugherty completed her hat trick to briefly slow the momentum. After two more goals from Gettysburg, Daugherty netted her fourth of the day. Gettysburg closed the quarter with a four-goal burst, interrupted only by a goal from Long, 15-6.
- Long opened the fourth with her second goal of the game, but Gettysburg answered with two straight to build its largest lead of the afternoon, 17-7. Bloomquist capped the day with a milestone moment, scoring with 29 seconds remaining to record the 200th point of her career.
