GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The No. 23 Swarthmore College women's tennis team remained unbeaten in the Centennial Conference with a 7-0 blanking of Gettysburg College on Friday. It was the third consecutive win for the Garnet.
Swarthmore won all nine matches played in the contest. The Garnet used six players and all six won a pair of bouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Ella Strickler and
Riya Rao continued their strong play of late, moving up to second doubles and recording their 10
th straight victory with a 6-0 shutout.
Nathalie Williams and
Ruthie Njagi cruised to a 6-1 triumph at the top spot while the team of
Veronica Komorek and
Brianna Viets earned a 6-2 win at third doubles.
- Komorek dropped just one game on the way to a 6-0, 6-1 success at sixth singles. Viets rolled to a victory at the fourth position by the same 6-0, 6-1 score.
- Strickler clinched the match with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles. Williams earned her eighth win in a row with a 6-3, 6-0 decision at the first flight.
- Rao picked up a straight-sets victory at the third spot, 6-1, 6-3. Njagi wrapped up the match with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph at fifth singles.
UP NEXT
Swarthmore (9-4, 4-0 Centennial) will split its squad across two matches on Saturday, traveling to Ursinus College and Dickinson College.
