HAVERFORD, Pa. – The No. 18 Swarthmore College women's tennis team dominated rival Haverford College, 7-0, in a Centennial Conference match on Tuesday.
The Garnet did not drop a match in the contest.
Nathalie Williams,
Lola Diaz,
Erin Li,
Kathleen Shiffer, and
Ella Strickler all picked up a pair of victories.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Williams and Diaz shut out their opponents at first doubles, 6-0, to open the match. Li and Shiffer rolled to a 6-2 win at the second position before Strickler and
Riya Rao completed the sweep by pulling out a 7-5 victory at third doubles. It was the sixth win in a row for the pair of Strickler and Rao.

Lara Geib started singles play with a 6-1, 6-4 triumph at the sixth spot. Shiffer dropped just one game on her way to a 6-1, 6-0 success at fourth singles to give Swarthmore a 3-0 advantage.
- Strickler clinched the match for the Garnet with a 6-1, 7-5 decision at the fifth flight for her sixth consecutive win. Li won in straight sets at second singles, 6-2, 7-5.
- Williams won her fifth straight match with a 7-5, 6-4 victory at the first position. Diaz wrapped up the match with a tough 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 triumph at third singles.
