No. 14 Men’s Lacrosse Extends Win Streak to Five, 17 Different Players Score Goals

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The No. 14 Swarthmore College men's lacrosse team took it to Stockton University, 22-7, on a rainy Wednesday night. The Garnet received goals from 17 different players, and all six of their goalies saw playing time in a lopsided win.

Jayson Batie, Nolan Ohrman, Rex Mabbs, Emmett Harris and Brett Maguire all led the attack with two goals. Clay Almgren paced the offense with a goal and three assists, while Ohrman added an assist to go along with his two scores. Maguire netted his first and second collegiate goals, while Joshua Do and Julian Cassinelli also enjoyed their first career scores with the Garnet.

Henry Kolyer caused one turnover in the contest to move into the program's top-five all-time in the category.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Swarthmore raced out to a quick start with four-unanswered goals to open the game. Mabbs tallied the first score at the 13:51 mark, while Michael Hardiman found the net a couple minutes later. Owen Hoffman and Emmett Harris also added scores in the opening five minutes to put Swarthmore ahead by four goals. Stockton finally broke through with a tally at the 9:08 mark, but the Garnet countered with goals from Ryder Maston, Mabbs, Ronan Butler and Almgren to build a commanding lead. The Garnet scored three of their goals in the final minute of the quarter, 8-1.

- The Garnet continued to expand their lead with the opening four goals of the quarter. Ohrman, Andrew Stodden, Ethan Poyton and Ryan Kim all scored to give Swarthmore a double-digit lead. Stockton put an end to its nearly 25-minute scoring drought with its second goal at the 1:24 mark. The Garnet had tallied eight-unanswered goals up to that point. Swarthmore tacked on one final goal before halftime with a score from Harlan Graber, 13-2.

- Harris scored in the opening minute of the third, while Ohrman followed with a tally. Batie then scored his first goal of the season in between a pair of Osprey scores. Maguire then ended the stanza with his first and second collegiate scores, 18-4.

- Stockton opened the fourth with three-straight goals, but could not hold off Swarthmore's attack for long. The Garnet ended the final five minutes with four-unanswered goals from Do, Jamie Weyerhaeuser, Batie and Cassinelli.
