MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The Swarthmore College baseball team used a massive 10-run first inning to take a commanding lead and went on to win 14-3 in seven innings against Lesley University at the Montclair State Round Robin on Saturday.

Benjamin Buchman,
Leor Kedar,
Aidan Sullivan, and
Zac Kahn all tallied two hits on the evening. Silvestre drove in four runs with
Max Roffwarg and Buchman knocking in two apiece.
Noah Potholm tossed six innings for the win, allowing two runs on six hits while tying his career high with nine strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Garnet sent 15 hitters to the plate in the first inning and came away with 10 runs. Swarthmore tallied seven hits, drew three walks, and was hit by a pitch three times. Seven different players recorded an RBI in the frame.
- The Lynx got on the board in the second with a sacrifice fly. In the third, Sullivan bashed his second homer of the year to make it 11-1. Lesley scored again in their half of the third, this time on an RBI single to center. Kahn came home on a throwing error in the fourth to restore a 10-run lead for the Garnet (12-2).
- Swarthmore's final two runs came across in the fifth. Silvestre plated Kedar with a sac fly and Buchman singled home Sullivan. The Lynx had their last tally in the seventh on an infield single.
