SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's lacrosse team opened the season with its fourth-straight victory against Elizabethtown College, 19-8, on Saturday afternoon. The Garnet have won their past three meetings with the Blue Jays.

Moments later, the Blue Jays took the lead with a go-ahead score, before the Garnet answered quickly with a Hardiman score. Swarthmore maintained momentum with goals from Nolan Ohrman, Hardiman and Maston to build a three-goal advantage. Maston beat the buzzer with a score in the final second of the quarter, 5-2.

- Swarthmore kept adding on with three-unanswered goals to open the second quarter. Owen Hoffman got things started with a tally at the 11:26 mark, while Maston and Harris followed with scores. Swarthmore built its advantage to six goals after a stretch of six-straight scores. The Blue Jays broke their scoring drought with a goal at the 8:38 mark until Harris got his squad back on track with his second score. Almgren then dazzled the crowd with a behind-the-back score, before Hardiman muscled his way through traffic, absorbed a hit and connected for the team's third-straight score, 11-3.

- Maston completed his third-career hat trick with the opening goal of the third quarter. The Blue Jays countered with consecutive scores, before Harris notched his first collegiate hat trick.
