CARLISE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's basketball team were unable to overcome a slow start at Dickinson College, 55-47, on Saturday afternoon. The Garnet scored the first bucket of the game and then trailed the rest of the way.

The Red Devils scored 10 second-chance points, while earning nine more field goal attempts.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Hansson added another bucket before intermission, but the Red Devils were able to maintain an eight-point lead heading into halftime.

Later in the stanza, Becker cashed in from the foul line and then forced a steal, which led to another Becker bucket to come within two points with 5:56 left. The senior scored all seven of her points in the opening five minutes of the third quarter.

- Later in the quarter, the Red Devils added breathing room with six-straight points to build their lead back to eight with 3:20 left. Dickinson ended up building upon its lead with a nine-point advantage at the end of the third.
