SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College field hockey team bounced back with a dominant 4-0 victory over McDaniel College to open its Centennial Conference schedule on Saturday. The Garnet outshot the Green Terror 17-0 and did not allow a penalty corner.

Hannah Ulrich paced the Garnet offense with a pair of goals. The first-year collected her first tally in the 15th minute, while adding a second score in the 17th minute. Ulrich registered her first collegiate multi-goal game as she doubled her goal total for the season. 

Amelia Landry and Katherine Kohn also added goals for the Garnet. Landry scored her second goal of the season in the 15th minute, while Kohn tallied her fourth goal in the 22nd minute. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Swarthmore had a couple shot attempts turned away early in the opening stanza. Ulrich broke through with a goal in the 15th minute off a Sarah Cooper corner attempt. Landry then added a second Garnet goal just seconds later after collecting a rebound in front of the cage. The score was set up by another Garnet corner attempt. 

- The Garnet quickly built on their lead with another Ulrich score in the 17th minute. Following a flurry of Garnet shot attempts, the first-year gathered a loose ball in traffic before beating the goalie for another score. Swarthmore scored three goals in a span of two minutes to take a commanding lead over the Green Terror.

- Kohn then added the team's final goal in the 22nd minute off a penalty corner. Kohn deflected a pass from Cooper for her fourth goal of the season. 

- Swarthmore outshot McDaniel 2-0 in the final two quarters. The Green Terror did not attempt a shot for the entire game.
