BALTIMORE – The No. 23 Swarthmore College women's tennis team fell at No. 10 Johns Hopkins University, 8-1, in a Centennial Conference match on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Jays took an early 2-0 lead with victories at third (8-2) and first (8-4) doubles respectively. The Garnet then picked up their lone win of the match with
Lola Diaz and
Erica Stutz coming out on top in a tiebreak in their match at second doubles.
- Johns Hopkins swept the singles bouts for the win.
Ella Strickler and Diaz were able to force tiebreaks during their matches but ultimately came up short.
