No. 10 Men's Tennis Downs No. 50 Franklin and Marshall To Run the Centennial Table

LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 10 Swarthmore College men's tennis team finished the regular season with a 7-2 win at No. 50 Franklin and Marshall College on Saturday to wrap up an undefeated Centennial Conference schedule.
 
The Garnet swept doubles competition and took four of the six singles matches.


 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Max Lindstrom and Aadhi Raja cruised to an 8-1 win at third doubles to begin the match. Andres Fente and Rushil Patel had little trouble in an 8-3 victory at the second flight. Utham Koduri and Michael Melnikov completed the sweep with an 8-5 triumph at the first position.
 
- Kevin Jiang had twin 6-3 scores for a straight-sets win at second singles. Rishi Verma also won his bout at third singles, 6-3, 6-3. Lalith Suresh captured the first set of his match at the fifth flight in a tiebreak before winning the second, 6-3.
 
- Aamish Pal played an abbreviated match at sixth singles and came out with the victory, 8-3. The Diplomats picked up their points at first and fourth singles.
 
UP NEXT
Swarthmore (19-1) is the top seed for the Centennial Tournament and will host a semifinal match on Friday versus either Franklin and Marshall or Gettysburg College.
