SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The No. 11 Swarthmore College men's tennis team rolled past Franklin and Marshall College, 5-1, in the semifinals of the Centennial Conference Tournament on Friday.
The top-seeded Garnet will host the conference championship match on Sunday versus No. 15 Johns Hopkins University.
Swarthmore took two of the three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead entering singles play. The Garnet then claimed the first three singles decisions to clinch the victory.
Max Lindstrom picked up a win in both singles and doubles, including earning the clinching point, to lead Swarthmore.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Utham Koduri and
Michael Melnikov continued their dominant play at first doubles, shutting out their opponent, 8-0, for their eighth consecutive victory.

Aadhi Raja and Lindstrom controlled their match at third doubles, cruising to an 8-3 triumph. They have also won eight in a row.
Rushil Patel and
Andres Fente were locked in a tight match at the second spot and ultimately fell in a tiebreak, 7-8 (6-8).

Lalith Suresh got the Garnet off to a strong start in singles, dropping just one game en route to a 6-0, 6-1 success at the fifth position.
Winston Zhang put Swarthmore one point away with a 6-3, 6-2 win at fourth singles.
- Lindstrom earned the decisive victory at second singles, 6-3, 6-1, to send the Garnet to the final. It was the 16
th singles win of the season for the region's number three player, which is tied for the team lead.
