No. 6 Men’s Lacrosse Defends Unbeaten Conference Record, Clinches Centennial Tournament Berth

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The No. 6 Swarthmore College men's lacrosse team defended its unbeaten conference record with a 10-7 victory over Ursinus College on Wednesday night. With tonight's victory, the Garnet clinched a Centennial Conference Tournament berth for the second-straight season.

Jackson Brosgol led the way with three goals and one assist, while Michael Hardiman added a pair of goals and an assist. Seven different scorers tallied goals for the Garnet as they showcased their offensive depth against a physical Ursinus defense.

Drew Tyson started off strong in his campaign to earn four-straight Centennial Defensive Player of the Week selections. The sophomore made a game-high 17 saves, while allowing just seven goals to earn his eighth win of the season.

Both teams were held scoreless for the final seven minutes of a half headlined by excellent defense, 6-3.

Clay Almgren answered back moments later with a highlight-reel, no-look goal to dazzle the home crowd. Ursinus cut its deficit to three with a pair of goals until Carter Strauch stalled the Bears momentum with a goal at the 2:00 mark.
