WESTMINSTER, MD - The Swarthmore College women's lacrosse team powered past McDaniel College, 18-7, in an offensive outburst on Saturday afternoon.
Abigail Love led the charge with a seven-point effort on four goals and three assists to lead the Garnet in both categories.
Carly Rodrigues-Reilly, Isabella Bloomquist and
Zoe Crawford also recorded hat tricks to aid in the team's highest scoring conference game of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- McDaniel struck first with the game's first goal at the 12:41 mark. The Garnet then answered with a pair of goals from Love and Rodrigues-Reilly, before the Green Terror responded with the equalizer. Swarthmore would take a late lead on a Rodrigues-Reilly score, before McDaniel tied the game once more to end the opening quarter, 3-3.
- Swarthmore put its foot on the gas in the second quarter with four-straight tallies to open the stanza.

Aubree Daugherty, Love and Lilian Lewis all contributed with goals during the stretch. After being held scoreless for nearly the opening 10-minutes of the second quarter, the Green Terror ended the half with three-unanswered scores to pull within one goal, 7-6.
- The Garnet ran away with the game as they scored eight-unanswered goals in the third quarter.
Annabel Stifler scored the first goal with 9:53 remaining. The Garnet then opened the flood gates with a Bloomquist score, which was followed by back-to-back Crawford goals within 30-seconds of each other. Bloomquist then added another score, while Love and Daugherty both closed out a dominant quarter with goals, 14-6.
- Swarthmore carried its momentum into the fourth quarter with three more unanswered scores. Love scored a power play goal early in the stanza, before Crawford and Bloomquist found the back of the net to cap off an 11-0 Garnet run. McDaniel finally ended a 27-minute scoring drought with 3:01 left to net the game's final goal.
