HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Swarthmore College women's lacrosse team began its two-game spring break trip with a dominant 20-2 win over Kean University on Tuesday.
Isabela Bloomquist led the Garnet with seven points on three goals and four assists to up her team-leading total to 20 points on the year.
Abigail Love netted four goals and added one assist. She leads Swarthmore with 13 goals this season.
Zoe Crawford,
Mia Holland, and
Isabella Fermo all recorded their first collegiate goals. Crawford registered a hat trick in the contest.
The Garnet defense kept the Cougars to the outside with goalkeepers
Helen Stafford and
Brooke Carrier seeing just a combined seven shots on goal. The duo combined for five saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Swarthmore boasted a balanced attack in the first quarter as six different players tallied a goal.
- The Garnet continued to show their depth in the second, scoring seven goals with Love being the only player to score more than once.
- Swarthmore posted five goals in the third, again spreading the wealth with five different goal-scorers.
- The Garnet closed out the victory with a pair of goals in the fourth.
