PRINCETON, N.J. – Tate Garcia claimed the victory in the women's shot put to lead Swarthmore College Track & Field at the Princeton Invitational held on Sunday. The Garnet posted six top-three performances at the meet.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Garcia recorded a winning throw of 40' 11" (12.47m) on her first attempt in the shot put. It was a career best and also her first career victory in the event. Garcia also had a fifth place in the weight throw (41' 6", 12.65m).
- Swarthmore finished second, third, and fourth in the high jump with
Trelstad T (5' 1", 1.55m),
Hannah Swale (4' 11", 1.50m), and
Caroline Hill (4' 9", 1.45m). Swale also registered a personal best in the triple jump, leaping 35' 6.5" (10.83m) for second place.

Amelia Landry and
Elizabeth Agyei placed fourth in the shot put (28' 11.25", 8.82m) and weight throw (44' 4.25", 13.52m) respectively.

Eoin Quinn was the lone men's athlete to compete for the Garnet. He took third in the triple jump (40' 8.25", 12.40m) and tied for third in the high jump (5' 10.75", 1.80m).
