SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's basketball team cruised to a 75-50 win over Franklin and Marshall College at Tarble Pavilion on Saturday. The Senior Day triumph was the Garnet's fourth straight victory and seventh in their last eight contests.

Vinny DeAngelo prior to the game. DeAngelo tallied a game-high 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting while Caprise picked up a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Caprise was 6-for-10 on the day.
Nyle Coleman also hit double figures, adding 10 points. The Garnet dominated the glass, earning a 45-25 advantage in rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The score was tied at six early on before Swarthmore took over with a massive 26-5 run that spanned 10 minutes of action. The Garnet went 11-for-17 from the field, including 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, and led 32-11 with 6:18 on the clock. DeAngelo sparked the surge with 10 points. Defensively, Swarthmore forced seven turnovers by the Diplomats.
- The Garnet maintained a comfortable cushion for the remainder of the opening half and took a 40-21 lead into the intermission. DeAngelo led all scorers in the period with 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting.
- Swarthmore opened the second half with seven consecutive points for its largest lead of the game (47-21) at the 17:27 mark. DeAngelo netted four points while
Cal Hanson drained a three. The Garnet were up 23 (52-29) with 13:56 to go when F&M made a final attempt to get back in it, pouring in 13 of 18 to close the gap to 15 (57-42) with 9:56 left. However, Swarthmore responded with an 11-1 run to get it back to a 25-point difference (68-43) with 6:39 to play.
