Women’s Basketball Falls Short After Slow Start Against Dickinson

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's basketball team fell just short of a comeback against Dickinson College, 49-43, on Saturday afternoon.

Swarthmore outscored their opponent 17-9 in the third quarter to trim its deficit to four points, but were unable to overtake the Red Devils in the final stanza.

Dana Bandurick paced the Garnet with 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists and four steals. Emily Smith also played a key role with eight points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting from the field. The Garnet shot 37.3 percent as a team and won the turnover battle 16-20, but made just two three-pointers compared to five from the Red Devils.
