SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College volleyball team bounced back with a 3-0 sweep against McDaniel College on Saturday afternoon. The victory improved the team's record to 2-0 in Centennial Conference play.

McDaniel responded out of the timeout as they countered with six-straight points, which was capped off by three-straight aces. Following a Garnet timeout, Swarthmore gained separation with a 9-3 run to take a seven-point lead, 17-10. The Green Terror pulled within three points of the Garnet, but Swarthmore was able to close out the set with a 25-20 decision.

Kaylee Zhang also played a key role during the team's opening run with a trio of kills. The Garnet continued their domination following the timeout with a pair of Mountcastle aces. Dani Pena then pushed the ball over the net for a kill to force McDaniel to use their second timeout, 19-8. Swarthmore cruised to victory the rest of the way with a 25-11 win.

- The Garnet gained some separation early in the third set with three-straight points, which featured kills from Zindzhi Montgomery and Angelina Heminway, 11-6. Swarthmore continued to rally with seven-unanswered points midway through the set. However, McDaniel hung around and remained within striking distance as they eventually cut their deficit to two points, 22-20.
