SWARTHMORE, PA. - Shattering team records on senior day, the No. 20 Swarthmore men's lacrosse team demolished McDaniel College by a score of 24-11 on Saturday, Apr. 22.

On top of his goal, Bernstein also played a crucial role in locking down possession for the Garnet, going 17-21 in faceoffs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Garnet got off to a hot start in the first quarter, putting up four goals thanks to strikes from Almgren, Brosgol and two from
Von Mabbs, giving swarthmore a 4-0 lead with 4:18 left to play. While the Green Terror were finally able to get on the board just over two minutes later, scores from Strauch and Almgren stretched the Garnet's advantage to 6-1, a scoreline that held through the end of the period.
- Picking up right where they left off, Swarthmore kept on rolling in the second quarter, as goals from
Von Mabbs, Hoffmann and Akinsooto extended the Garnet's margin to 9-1. A McDaniel score stemmed the bleeding momentarily, before an onslaught of Swarthmore offense broke the Terror defense. The Garnet found the back of the net six more times before half, going into the break up 15-2 over their Centennial opponent.
- Showing no mercy, the Garnet further extended their lead in the second half, notching three quick goals in the first two minutes of third quarter play to go up 18-2. That margin would grow to 20-3 before Swarthmore finally slowed down. A 4-1 McDaniel run cut into the Garnet's margin, with Swarthmore closing out the quarter ahead 21-7.
- Both squads traded goals to close out the contest, as Swarthmore scored three while McDaniel scored four in the fourth quarter. Despite some signs of life for the Terror's offense, the Garnet's lead proved simply insurmountable, as Swarthmore wrapped up senior day with a 24-11 victory .
- With the win, the Garnet are now 12-2, 6-1 in conference play.
