Rotival Captures First Individual All-America Selection

GREENSBORO, NC - Swarthmore College women's swimming sophomore Sophie Rotival capped off an incredible season with All-America honorable mention status in the 100 breaststroke on Friday.

Rotival punched her ticket to the night session with a 10th place finish in the 100 breaststroke prelims. The sophomore touched the wall at 1:02.97 to claim a top-10 finish.



In the night session, Rotival took 12th overall to earn honorable mention distinction as she touched the wall at 1:03.70.

Quinn Weygandt returned to the pool in the 200 butterfly prelims. The first-year placed 27th overall in the event with a time of 2:07.30. 

After earning a pair of All-American selections in the medley relays, Erin Szuromi competed in the 100 backstroke this morning.The sophomore was 29th overall in the prelim session with a 56.42 mark.

The 800 freestyle relay of Kate Hallmark, Elle Anthony, Georgi Mathews and Weygandt placed 11th of 16 teams with a time of 7:40.11 in the morning session.
