No. 17 Men’s Basketball Wins Double-OT Thriller, DeAngelo Matches Career-High 33 Points

LANCASTER, Pa. - The No. 17 Swarthmore College men's basketball team took down Franklin & Marshall, 94-93, in a double-overtime thriller on Saturday night. The Garnet remained perfect in the Centennial Conference as they captured their eighth-straight win.

Vinny DeAngelo had his fifth 20-plus point game of the season as he matched a career-high of 33 points with 11 rebounds for the guard's first career double-double. The junior was nearly perfect from the foul line as he made 12-of-14, which included several high-leverage free throws.

George Visconti added 19 points with seven assists and five rebounds in a well-rounded performance for the Garnet. He was joined in double figures by Michael Caprise and TJ Chapman, who tallied 12 and 11 points, respectively. Chapman, who has emerged as a valuable threat off the bench, recorded his third-straight game with double-digit points.
