Men’s Basketball Wins 13th Straight, Sweeps Season Series versus Dickinson

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The No. 10 Swarthmore College men's basketball team swept the season series versus Dickinson College, 70-50, to capture their 13th-straight victory on Saturday afternoon.

George Visconti led the charge with 17 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in a well-rounded game for the senior. He was also incredibly efficient from the field shooting 7-of-12, while making all three attempted three-pointers. Colin Shaw and George Corzine also added 10 points, respectively.

Matt Mulvey made the most of his bench minutes with his best performance since returning from an early season injury. The sophomore shot 3-of-4 from beyond the arc for nine points to lead the bench in scoring. Fellow sophomore Aidan Godfrey also contributed off the bench with six points and three rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Visconti opened the game with a three-pointer on the team's first possession. The Red Devils tied the game later in the half with a three-pointer to make it 7-7, but the Garnet quickly answered with a Michael Caprise layup.

- The Garnet began to pull away with a Visconti three-pointer to take a seven point lead. Shaw then added to the advantage with a pair of free throws, which he followed up with a three-pointer to expand the team's lead to a game-high 12 points with 9:53 left. Dickinson then began to chip away at the end of the half as they pulled within six points of the Garnet, 30-24.

- The Red Devils cut their deficit to five points early in the second half. The Garnet then responded with seven unanswered points to break Dickinson's momentum. Corzine and Godfrey opened the run with a pair of layups, while Colin Shaw put the Garnet ahead by 12 points with a triple, 39-27.

- Visconti and Cal Hanson added threes on back-to-back possessions to keep the pressure on Dickinson, before Corzine added a layup to go up by 21 points with 10:41 left.

- Mulvey began to heat up from long range late in the second half. Caprise made a heads up play to tip an offensive rebound to Mulvey, who then drained a three-pointer at the top of the key. The sophomore then connected once more from beyond the arc after a steal from Caprise.
