LANCASTER, Pa. - Swarthmore College had 142 spring student-athletes awarded a spot on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll on Thursday. The student-athletes, sophomores and older, were recognized for having achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
Men's lacrosse led the field with 26 team members earning honor roll accolades, while women's outdoor track and field followed with 24. Men's outdoor track and field followed slightly behind with 23, while baseball had 20 named to the honor roll. Women's lacrosse had 12 student-athletes receive the honors, as men's tennis had 11 receive honor roll recognition. Women's tennis and softball each had nine named to the honor roll, while men's golf rounded out the list with eight.
Kendall Praitis-Hill of men's track & field and
Noah Criss of men's tennis were named the Centennial Conference Scholar-Athletes of the Year. Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors were awarded in each sport to a member of the junior or senior class with the highest cumulative GPA on the All-Centennial Team. Praitis-Hill, who received the honor for indoor track and field, is one of 24 student-athletes to earn the honor twice in conference history. The duo are joined by
George Visconti (men's basketball),
Martina Kampel (field hockey) and
Aidan Cantine (men's cross country) as Swarthmore student-athletes who have earned the honor for the 2021-22 academic year.
Swarthmore had 28 student-athletes named to the Academic All-Centennial team for their respective sport. Centennial Conference Player of the Year,
Luke Mutz, was joined by
Paul Cooke and
Zach Camp represented the baseball program.

Alex Strauch, and
Carter Strauch represented the men's lacrosse program, while
Helen Stafford represented the women's lacrosse program. Cantine, Praitis-Hill,

Nora Blodgett,
Emma Chiao,
Adria Retter,
Johanna Schubert and
Rose Teszler represent the Swathmore track and field programs. Swarthmore softball is represented by
Gwen Glatz (Player of the Year),
Kate Hart,
Meg Ozawa (Pitcher of the Year) and
Alexandra Simon (CC Rookie of the Year). On the court, Criss and
Grant Dill represent men's tennis, while
Sonia Varma,
Crystal Xu,
Jenny Lewis, and
Erica Stutz were named Academic All-Centennial. These student-athletes received both All-Conference and Academic Honor Roll honors.
