SWARTHMORE, PA - No. 29 Swarthmore College Men's Tennis moved to 5-0 in Centennial Conference play as they defeated Haverford College, 7-2, at the Faulkner Tennis Courts on Wednesday.
Swarthmore extended its win streak to the 11 matches against the Fords. The Garnet improve to 12-4 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Swarthmore swept the doubles action for a 3-0 lead heading into singles play. At the number one doubles position,
John Nichols-Daly and
Grant Dill earned a 8-6 victory. At the number two spot,
Charley Force and
Rushil Patel tallied an 8-2 victory, while
Max Pogorelov and
Graham Hadesman battled to an 8-5 victory at the number three position.
- Ranked No. 4 in the region, Force earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the number one singles position. In a three set thriller, Patel battled back to win 3-6, 6-3, 10-7.

Josiah Myers-Lipton came up clutch as he tallied a 6-3, 6-3 victory at the number five position.
Noah Criss closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the number six singles position.
- At the number four position, Nichols-Daly fell in a three set battle, 7-5, 1-6, 6-7 (8-10).
Kevin Jiang fell 3-6, 3-6 at the number two position.

Swarthmore returns to the court on Saturday for the final non-conference match of the season as they host the University of Mary Washington. The match between the Garnet and Eagles is slated to begin at 11:00 a.m. a the Faulkner Tennis Courts.
