SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Swarthmore College Softball swept Muhlenberg College in Centennial Conference play on Tuesday as they extended their win streak to 14-straight games. The Garnet move to 15-2 on the season and 4-0 in conference play.
Pitching and small ball led the way as
Gwen Glatz hurled seven strong innings in the first game, while
Meg Ozawa earned the victory in the night cap.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After allowing the a leadoff hit, Glatz got out of the inning unharmed with a beautiful double play from
Alexandra Simon to Laura Hirari to
Olivia McClammy at first. Glatz gave the Garnet its first hit of the game as she singled to center field in the bottom of the first.
- A bases loaded walk by
Maya Estrera opened the scoring in the bottom half of the second as Simon scored.
- In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Garnet added two more runs. Runners on first and second with two outs, Glatz roped a double to deep left center allowing Hirari and Estrera to score.

Molly O'Sullivan collected a pair of runs batted in as the sophomore singled to left field in the bottom of the fifth.
Emily Bertrand, who reached on a single through the left side, and
Kate Hart scored on the O'Sullivan pinch hit base knock.
- Glatz earned the win in the circle as the righty allowed six hits, one earned run, walked on and struck out six. The senior moved to 4-1 on the season.
SWARTHMORE 8, MUHLENBERG 4
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mules opened the scoring in the first inning behind an RBI single by Genna Cicchetti. Swarthmore took those runs back and added some in the bottom half of the inning. Glatz doubled to left field as she scored Hirari and Estrera to tie the game at two with no outs. Simon knocked in a pair with a base knock through the left side, and
Cassidy Cheong hit home Bertrand to make it an 5-2 score in favor of the home team.
- In the bottom of the third, Hirai flew out to left center field, which allowed
Sam Hastings to score. Estrera finished the game 2-for-4 from the plate, while Glatz went 2-for-3 with three runs batted in. Five of the nine batters for the Garnet recorded a hit in the five inning contest.
- In five innings in the circle, Ozawa allowed four hits, four runs, walked a pair and struck out four.

The Garnet (15-2, 4-0) return to action on Thursday as they travel to take on Cabrini University in Radnor, Pa. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 3:00 p.m.
