Box Score ALLENTOWN, PA - No. 27 Swarthmore College Women's Tennis earned a sweep over Muhlenberg College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Garnet improve to 13-1 on the season and 8-0 in Centennial Conference action. With the victory, Swarthmore secured clinched a top two seed in the upcoming Centennial Conference tournament.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- At the number one doubles position,
Oviya Kumaran and
Spencer Watts earned an 8-3 victory.
Jenny Lewis and
Crystal Xu won at the number two doubles position with a score of 8-0, while
Sophie Brown and
Grace Dignazio recorded an 8-0 victory.
- Lewis recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at the number one singles position. Kumaran rallied to a 6-2, 6-1 win at the number two position, while Xu earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at the number three position.
- At the number four position, Watts earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Brown earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at the number five position while Dignazio earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory to close out the match.
- In the last five seasons completed in the Centennial Conference, the Garnet have won at least eight matches or more in each of them.
