SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Swarthmore College Men's Lacrosse suffered a setback as they fell to Ursinus College on Wednesday afternoon at Clothier Field Stadium.
The Garnet fell 17-9, to the Bears, who were receiving votes in the most recent national rankings poll.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first quarter, the Bears got the ball rolling with an opening goal at 13:46 on the clock.
Quin Seivold tied the game just a minute later.
- Ben Schaffer put a stop to three straight goals by the Bears as he tallied his second of the game with 6:53 left in the opening half.
Michael Hardiman,
Carter Strauch, and
Von Mabbs tallied goals in the second frame for the Garnet.
- Seivold added a pair of goals in the third quarter as the Garnet cut into the Bears lead. In the fourth quarter, Strauch scored a quick goal for the Garnet with 14:29 left.

Joel Paulson led the Garnet with eight ground balls, while
Will Drake picked up six.
Liam Halstead collected four, while
Jackson Brosgol and Mabbs each added three. Drake added three turnovers, while
Alex Strauch forced two.
