Women’s Lacrosse Wins Third-Straight, Sweeps Spring Break Schedule

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Swarthmore College women's lacrosse team bested Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), 14-8, in its spring break finale on Tuesday afternoon.  

Kyra Hall led the charge for the Garnet with six goals and one assist, while Isabela Bloomquist collected a hat trick. Abigail Love and Helena Irvine added a pair of goals, while Elizabeth Zack tallied one score on the afternoon. 

Helen Stafford earned the win in goal for the Garnet. Stafford made nine saves and played the entire 60-minutes. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hall put Swarthmore on the board with the opening goal at the 14:36 mark. SCAD then answered with a game-tying tally with 11:29 left, before Irvine collected consecutive scores to pull ahead by two scores. Bloomquist added one more off a free position before the end of the first quarter, 4-1. 

- SCAD was able to silence the Garnet's run with a quick goal to open the second quarter, before Zack found the back of the net to counter the Bees. Bloomquist added a goal at the 8:45 mark, while SCAD wrapped up the half with two-unanswered scores, 6-4. 

- Hall struck first in the second half with a goal at the 13:20 mark of the third quarter. SCAD then responded with a pair of goals, before Hall tallied her second and third scores of the quarter. Moments later, Love's man-up tally gave the Garnet a four-goal lead heading into the final quarter, 10-6. 

- The Bees shrunk its deficit back to three goals with a score in the opening minute of the fourth quarter. However, Love and Bloomquist responded with back-to-back goals to take a five-goal lead. Hall then put an exclamation point on a stellar afternoon with her fifth and six goals, respectively.
