Women's Lacrosse Captures Fourth-Straight at Arcadia

SWARTHMORE, PA - The Swarthmore College women's lacrosse team captured its fourth-straight with a win at Arcadia University, 16-7, on Saturday afternoon. 

Eleanor Miller, Kyra Hall and Isabela Bloomquist all recorded hat tricks to lead the Garnet offense over the Knights. Helena Irvine and Sophie Finkelstein also added a pair of goals, while Ashley Pyon, Abigail Love and Elizabeth Zack each contributed one goal. Helen Stafford earned the win in net for the Garnet with six saves. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hall and Miller opened the scoring with consecutive goals to take an early lead. Following an Arcadia response, Miller added a second goal, while Irvine also found the back of the net to go up by three scores. The Knights threatened with two-unanswered goals, but Swarthmore countered with goals from Pyon and Bloomquist to end the opening frame, 6-3.

- The Garnet outscored the Knights 4-1 in the second quarter. Zack found the back of the net at the 13:14 mark, while Finkelstein and Hall scored consecutive goals to extend their lead. Arcadia put an end to Swarthmore's five-goal streak with a tally at the 4:52 mark, before Irvine added one more goal before halftime, 10-4. 

- Swarthmore held the Knights scoreless in the third quarter, while allowing just three shots. Hall collected the first goal of the second half with an assist from Love at the 8:58 mark. Bloomquist and Finkelstein then ended the half with scores to pull ahead by nine goals, 13-4.

- Arcadia opened the fourth quarter with back-to-back scores, before Miller got the Garnet back on the board with her third tally. Following another Knights score, Love and Bloomquist closed out the game with consecutive goals to seal the victory, 16-7.
