SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College baseball team dropped a non-conference matchup versus #24 Arcadia University, 19-10, on Tuesday afternoon. The four-hour contest was called in the bottom of the ninth inning due to darkness. 

Paul Cooke and Max Roffwarg both homered to pace the Garnet offense. Cooke and Matthew Silvestre both tallied three RBI on the afternoon, while Roffwarg added a pair. Austin Burgess also collected an RBI for Swarthmore. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Garnet started off strong with five runs in the first inning. Burgess and Silvestre both drove home runs with back-to-back singles through the left side. Cooke then emptied the bases with a three-run shot to right field, 5-0.

- After Arcadia added a run in the second, the Garnet got one back with a run in the bottom half. Luke Mutz started the rally with a single through the right side. The senior then stole his 14th base of the season, before advancing to third base on a balk. Silvestre then muscled a two-out single to the left side to plate Mutz. The freshman slugger added another RBI in the fourth inning on his third single of the game, 7-1.

- The Knights closed the gap with four runs in the fifth inning. However, the Garnet got a pair back with a two-run homer from Roffwarg. The freshman third baseman drilled a shot over the left field wall for his first collegiate homer, 9-5.

- Arcadia stormed back with 14 runs in the final four innings to coast to a comeback victory. The Knights scored four in the sixth, before blowing the game open with six runs in the seventh inning.
