Offense Powers Men's Lacrosse to Third Straight Win

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Nine different players scored for Swarthmore College Men's Lacrosse as they won their third straight game on Saturday. The Garnet knocked off Roger Williams University, 16-9, on a sunny day at Clothier Field Stadium.

On home turf, the Garnet improved to 4-0 in the 2022 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Garnet and Hawks battled it out in the first quarter as the game was scoreless after ten minutes of action. Quin Seivold netted his sixth goal of the season with 4:34 remaining in the opening frame. Carter Strauch, who assisted the game opening game, gave Swarthmore the slight 2-1 lead with a little under three minutes to play.

- The offense began to click as Swarthmore outscored Roger Williams five to two in the second quarter. After a goal by the Hawks' Matt Halpin, Ryan Chambliss tied the game at three with this third of the season. Strauch, Seivold, Chambliss, and Jackson Brosgol netted goals to give Swarthmore an 7-4 half-time edge. 

- Both teams scored three goals in the third to keep the offensive battle going, but it was Swarthmore who would pull away with six goals in the fourth. 

- Seivold added another goal as he scored with 10:59 to play in the final frame. The Garnet capitalized on a few Hawks penalties as Strauch tallied a pair of goals thirty seconds apart from each other.

UP NEXT
The Garnet (6-2) will open up Centennial Conference action as they host Dickinson College on Saturday. Face-off against the Red Devils is set for 3:00 p.m.
