SWARTHMORE. Pa. - The regionally-ranked Swarthmore College women's volleyball team swept Bryn Mawr College, 3-0, on Tuesday night. The Garnet have won six-straight games and seven-straight matches over conference opponents.

Chloe Mayhue and Kaylee Zhang each led the Garnet with six kills. Zhang recorded six in the opening set, while Mayhue followed with six in the second set. Madeline Mountcastle paced the team with 15 assists, while Jayln Miller had a team-best eight digs. 

Gabby Marchese, Miller and Nora Larson all recorded their first collegiate kills, while Oci White added a pair of assists in her collegiate debut. Marchese led the group of first-years with four kills on the night.



HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Garnet led the entire way in a lopsided opening set. Zhang led the stanza with six kills, while Trisha Razdan added four kills. Swarthmore jumped out to a 6-0 lead and then put together 11-straight points midway through the set. The Garnet never looked back as they took the first set, 25-5. 

- Bryn Mawr led early in the second set, before the Garnet put together an 8-0 run to take its first lead of the stanza, 13-6. Marchese helped clinch the set with consecutive aces as the Garnet won comfortably, 25-14. Mayhue led the set with six kills, while Mouncastle had eight assists as the primary setter.

- Swarthmore opened the third set with five-unanswered points as they went on an 11-1 run to open the final set. Alexa Bartlett played a major role in the quick start with three kills and a block during the team's opening rally. Bryn Mawr slowly chipped away at its deficit, but were unable to gain much traction as the Garnet cruised to a 25-14 victory.
