Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s Soccer Falls to #18 Franklin & Marshall

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's soccer team dropped tight matchup versus #18 Franklin & Marshall College, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon.

Caleb Ehrenhaft made four saves and allowed just one goal in 90-minutes of action. The junior kept the Garnet in the game as they were outshot 18-8 by Franklin & Marshall.

Brandon Cramblitt led the Garnet offense with a team-high two shots on goal. Stathis Kalathias and Sean Nolan also registered two shots for Swarthmore.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kalathias and Cramblit recorded shots on goal early in the contest for the Garnet. Kalathias had the better of the two scoring chances as he ripped a ball on net from 10-yards outside the box. The keeper bobbled the shot attempt, but was able to recover before the Garnet could find the loose ball.

- Ehrenhaft had to make his first save on a rip from center in the 10th minute. The Diplomats fired a bouncer from 30-yards out, but Ehrenhaft dropped to a knee and corralled the attempt. Franklin & Marshall outshot the Garnet 11-5 in the opening half, but the Garnet tallied three shots on goal compared to the Diplomats one shot on goal.

- Leo Hecht started a counter attack after coming away with a steal at the other end of the field. Hecht played a long pass to Freddie Lin, who then passed the ball to Cramblitt in the center of the box. Cramblitt found the foot of Kalathias on the far side, who then played a crossing pass just wide of the post.

- Ehrenhaft had to make a pair of saves in the 68th and 69th minutes. The Diplomats then broke through in the 69th minute on a header following a corner kick.

- Nolan nearly knotted the game on a corner kick from five-yards outside the box in the 78th minute. The senior fired a strike to the near post, but the attempt was deflected away by the Diplomats keeper.
