| Box Score 3 VILLANOVA, Pa. - Swarthmore College Men's Tennis opened the 2021-22 season at the Villanova Fall Invitational this past weekend. 

In the Blue Draw, Charley Force and Rushil Patel ended the tournament with a third place finish. The pair defeated Thomas Hu and James Yu from Johns Hopkins 2-1 on Sunday afternoon. Force defeated Hu 8-2, while Patel sealed the victory for the Garnet with a defeat of Yu, 8-6. In doubles action Hu and Yu defeated Force and Patel 6-2.

Stephen Wong and Noah Criss added a tenth place finish for the Garnet in the Blue Draw. 

In the White Draw, Phil Rehwinkel and Grant Dill earned an 11th place finish for the Garnet. The pair defeated Tyler Mast and Gilberto Rivera Gardillo of Loyola (Md.) 6-2 in doubles play. In singles played, Rehwinkel defeated Mast 8-3, while Gardillo knocked off Dill, 8-5. 

Swarthmore returns to action on October 1st for the ITA Regionals. The weekend tournament will take place in Fredericksburg, Va.
