Swarthmore Announces Fall Schedules

SWARTHMORE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Athletics released the schedules for fall intercollegiate competition on Friday, highlighting a return to NCAA play on Sept. 1, 2021, and marking the school's first intercollegiate competition since March 13, 2020. The schedule announcement was made in conjunction with the Centennial Conference's press release announcing a plan for a regular schedule of athletic competition in the fall.

The Centennial Conference announced:

" The Centennial Conference is pleased to announce that, under the current circumstances, we anticipate a regular schedule of athletic competition and championships for academic year 2021-22. With guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, the NCAA Sports Science Institute, and the American College Health Association, the Conference and individual member schools are preparing protocols focused on the health, safety and well being of our student-athletes, coaches, spectators, officials and campus communities. These protocols may be subject to change as external and internal circumstances evolve. We recognize the challenges experienced by many over the past year; the Centennial Conference is excited to move forward with optimism as we look forward to a full return to competition!"

The fall season opens on Sept. 1 with a 5 p.m. home Field Hockey game against Widener, a Men's and Women's Cross Country meet at Rose Tree Park at 5:30 p.m., a 7 p.m. road tilt for Men's Soccer at Widener, a 7 p.m. home matchup for Volleyball against Widener, and a 7:30 p.m home game for Women's Soccer against Arcadia.
