SWARTHMORE, Pa.--On a rainy Friday night, Swarthmore College Women's Lacrosse picked up its third straight win to open 2020, edging Arcadia 11-10. Garnet sophomore
Eleanor Miller scored the game-winner with 6.4 seconds left.
Senior midfielder

Sydney Schwarz,
Julia Ostrowski,
Patty Gannon,
Kacy Hafertepe,
Kyra Hall and
Mackenzie Frost each put one in the twine as well.
After conceding the first goal, Swarthmore picked up steam and scored the next four goals. Peipher's third of the game with four minutes left in the first put Swarthmore ahead 7-4 by halftime.
Arcadia gained ground in the second half, catching the Garnet with 12 minutes left and overtaking them with eight minutes to go.
Hafertepe stopped the bleeding, recovering a ground ball off an Arcadia failed clear and scoring with 4:21 remaining.
Arcadia responded less than a minute later. Swarthmore tied the game again with 1:43 to play as Schwarz rolled top-side and sank her only score of the game.
With time winding down, Swarthmore forced a turnover on an Arcadia clear. Peipher recovered the ball, got checked and set up a restart. She fed the pass to Miller up top who dodged to her right around two defenders and then sank the game-winner.
