SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Swarthmore College Women's Basketball suffered a setback to rival Haverford College, 73-42, on Wednesday night at Tarble Pavilion.

Elizabeth Stiles netted back-to-back buckets for the Garnet.
Kendall Tribus and
Colleen Anderson recorded consecutive three pointers to get Swarthmore within three points with 30 seconds left in the first quarter. Megan Furch added a jumper at the buzzer to give Haverford a 19-14 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Garnet pressured the Fords into five turnovers in the third quarter.
Kim Kockenmeister took the ball away from Nyla Robinson, and turned the steal into two points on a mid-range jumper. With just over two minutes remaining in the third frame, Bandurick grabbed the board on a missed Juliana Clark three-pointer. The guard ran the ball down the court with
Faith Nation for a two-on-one opportunity, and Nation put the ball away for an easy layup.
Bandurick and Nation led the Garnet with ten points apiece. The freshman guard added seven rebounds, two steals and two assist for Swarthmore. Nation, leading all-scorers off the bench, finished with three boards, a helper and a steal.
Tribus added seven points, six rebounds and a steal, while Stiles ended the game with five points, one assist and a rebound.
The Fords were led by 29 points from Anna-Sophia Capizzi and 13 from Megan Furch.
Swarthmore falls to 8-6 overall and 5-4 in Centennial play, while the Fords improve to 11-3 and 8-1 on the season. The Garnet look to get back on track on Saturday as they visit Dickinson in a Centennial Conference game. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
